Kamlesh Parekh’s Dubai concern Aastha Lounge has been positioned by him as the world’s first jewellery lounge. Aashta also seconds as a stage for fashion shows, soirees, parties and high priority promotional events. This invite only boutique catering to HNI and VVIP’s and corporate houses is Kamlesh Parekh’s pride. Named after his daughter Aastha, which means faith and confidence, he wishes to instill the same feelings in his customers. He also wants his daughter to helm the business once she completes her education.
According to Kamlesh Parekh – “There are lounges which promote designer clothes or an art gallery, but none for jewellery. If there is any lounge that is existing in the world it is only for one collection and not promoting any other jewellers or designers under one roof.”
Besides Aastha Jewellery Lounge, Kamlesh Parekh is the founder of Kolkata based Shree Ganesh Jewellery. Kamlesh Parekh’s UAE ventures include GQ Bar and Club Boudoir in Dubai. Recently, Mr. Parekh co-invested in the Indian fine dining restaurant Mahec at the Le Meridien Village at Garhoud and it is doing phenomenally well.
Kamlesh Parekh has expanded his wings and taken his hospitality business back to his hometown of Kolkata. His family has been in Kolkata for over a century and is in the jewellery business. Kamlesh Parekh who completed his schooling from The Park English School started working in the family business till he decided to expand and venture out to start off something of his own, that is how Kamlesh Parekh landed up in the UAE and the rest as they say is history!
Mr. Parekh opened the doors to Club Boudoir at Theatre Road in 2016. The interiors are plush and done up in Versace! The DJ’s play the most mind blowing music and the 35 feet long bar is known to push out some delectable cocktails. The clubbing scene in Kolkata has taken a turn with the introduction of this now lounge in town all the way from Dubai!
